MEGAPHONE

Megaphone is an ongoing solo project exploring rage, release and masculinity.

In this project I use the unravelling of a knitted scarf to represent growing anger and play with release and control in movement. I am interested in knitting as a traditionally gendered form, and connect the unravelling of the material to a more free and expansive understanding of gender. I want to explore what rage looks like in the body and how it can be a force for good in today's world.

Different versions of the work have been performed at several platforms around London. It is a work I keep coming back to and is constantly developing alongside other projects. I am always looking for further opportunities to research or perform it so if you can offer this please do get in touch.
