CLIPS

This piece was commissioned by Third Row Dance Company at Roehampton University.

It started as an exploration of cutting your own hair and the importance that this can hold as a practice of care for yourself and others. It is driven by research into platonic intimacy, chosen family and connection.

Reflecting the relentless advertising of prioritising your own self only, the work is a journey of coming together and stripping back. Looking beyond self-care as a type of product to sell - what keeps us going? How do we find softness and care in a way that feels true to us all?
